This renovated barn sits on some to. die. for. acreage in Avon, CT. The rustic feel coupled with modern touches give this space and unparalleled magical feel. It’s 100% the centerpiece chandelier in the barn for me! If you’re looking to have a small wedding in an affordable wedding venue in Connecticut, you absolutely need to check out The Hinterland.

The Hinterland has a max guest capacity of 75 people. Narrow your guest list down to your closest friends and close family to meet you at The Hinterland and celebrate with you. There’s so much less pressure on your best day ever when you know it’s going to be a day surrounded by the people that mean the most to you. No drama, just lots and lots of fun! Your wedding day should be about you, so book your day at The Hinterland CT to make that a reality.

When you first drive on to the property you can’t miss the white barn there to greet you. The Hinterland has a bridal suite and a grooms suite. These rooms are on the more intimate side so you’ll probably just want to grab your best girl to come hang out while you get ready in here. The bride and groom room are right next door to each other so no peeking!

As for the ceremony spaces, there are a few to choose from! Inside the gorgeous barn gives a cozy vibe, especially for an end of season wedding, or back up rain plan. The outdoor area next to the barn is perfectly shaded which your guests will thank you for! My personal favorite spot is on top of the hill, looking down over Avon and the horses in the back. This would be the perfect spot for a micro wedding with minimum guests since it is on a hill.

For your portrait sessions, we can run around the property chasing the light that peeks through the trees. Since this property backs to a horse pasture, there’s a really good chance you’ll get some stunning images of you and your love with a few friends making a cameo appearance. You can honestly customize your day however you want at The Hinterland. Your reception space can be outside where your guests can enjoy some cocktails and lawn games, or inside the stunning space with a beautiful crystal chandelier feature sure to take your breath away when you see your first dance photos!

Owner, Kristyn, has poured her whole heart and soul into renovating this space into a gorgeous venue with a vision for excellence and beauty! I can’t recommend this space enough for your small wedding or micro wedding if you’re looking for a chic venue for your Connecticut Wedding!
