I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again. An in home photography session is the absolute pinnacle of intentionality and meaning when it comes to choosing a photoshoot location. Engagement sessions are the perfect way to document a really special session of your life! It’s a time to soak in all those celebratory feelings and document another milestone in your love story.

While many couples opt for picturesque outdoor locations, there’s something truly magical about having your engagement session at home. Comfort is Key

Maybe you’ve seen your friends engagement photos and they are glammed up to the nines. I know that’s not everyone’s preference. If you’re one of those people who would rather stay in your cozies than spend any amount of time in clothes that you’ll only wear once (like me!) then you have to consider doing an in home photography session.

Aside from the comfort of clothes, there’s also the added element of not being on display in public. I do my very best to suggest locations that are off the beaten path, but it can still be an uncomfortable experience if you aren’t a people person! At home, you can relax and be yourselves. Being at home in your own privacy is key allowing your genuine personalities and love to shine through in your photographs. No need to worry about outdoor conditions or changing outfits in the woods; your home is your comfort zone.

Don’t get me wrong, EVERY love story is unique. Regardless of the location, it’s different because it’s YOU. However, if you want a location that no one else has had before, I can promise no one’s done photos in your home surrounded by your personal touches and aesthetic.

Dani and Olek’s Journey

I know that being in front of the camera is awkward. It’s a vulnerable experience to have to open yourself up to someone you’ve just barely met. My couples know before I even pick up the camera that I GOT YOU. While you focus on each other and the connection you have, I will guide you through the session to make a masterpiece.

For Dani and Olek we started their session on a sunny Sunday morning. 10 am to be exact. Which is brunch hour, and exactly why we had some drinks to get the session started. The music was on, everyone was vibing, and Buddha boy (the pup, obvs) was ready for his close up.

I got to hear really cool stories about their childhood. As the session went on, we discovered common ground that we shared. I had the opportunity to know them both better as human beings. Choosing an in home photography session as their engagement session was the icing on the cake for this super special couple.
